Tri at Portugal are partnered with Meet Inc Travel to bring a combination of triathlon training packages with leisure activities for you, your friends or family. 

Based in the Cascais region of Portugal, you will experience a part of Portugal full of historic charm and one that allows you experience the famous cuisine, wines and cultures whilst benefiting from excellent sporting facilities. 

Cascais is a little over 30km east of Lisbon and lies on the Atlantic Ocean. Its marina has hosted the America’s Cup and one its famous landmarks, the Casino Estoril, was the inspiration behind Ian Fleming’s first James Bond novel, Casino Royale. Cascais and Tri at Portugal brings together everything the region can offer to make this the best place for a family holiday. 

Additional experiences, both as individuals or as a family, that are brought to you include; Stand Up Paddle, Surf, Yoga, Horseback Riding, Cultural visits, among others.

Time away from training is important so the carefully chosen accommodation give you a peaceful and calmful environment but also allow for leisure and enjoyment for all.


Training Facilities


This part of Portugal is perfect for you to combine your training and leisure. 

Swimming: Open Water Swimming will be held from the Duquesa beach, in Cascais and ideal location for swimmers of all standards and offers perfect pool-like conditions all year round to help improve your technique and build confidence. 

Cycling: On the bike, you will cycle through various terrain, from the flatter coastal roads upwards in to the undulating and more challenging Serra de Sintra national park where you will find its monuments and mystic landscapes. 

Running: There are various routes used by the experience team. Distances and terrain vary but could include runs like the route “Road of the Winch” which is a 14km round trip, or just part of it depending training requirements.   

Gyms: Tri at Portugal have partnered with several gyms in the immediate area which cover all aspects of gym work.


The Tri at Portugal coaching team consist of experienced professionals who have an in-depth knowledge of the region. They plan & monitor your training, bringing the right balance between training and family vacation, depending on your aims during your stay.



Andreia Valério
Andreia is the founder of Tri at Portugal. He is an experience Middle distance triathlete and the main point of contact during your vacation.

Nuno Santos
Nuno is a Middle distance triathlete who has a love of cycling. He has been involved in triathlon since was 12 years old.



Marco Silva
Marco is a Personal Trainer who specialises in triathlon as well as each of the 3 separate disciplines, both Long and Middle distance.

Vanessa Pereira
Vanessa is Professional Ironman Triathlete. She is a multi National Long Distance Champion, multi times IRONMAN Hawaii finisher, National IRONMAN record holder and she studying for a Masters in High Performance Sport.
