Buzz Cycling and Triathlon was founded by Joe and Amelia Pearson, who have a wealth of experience in triathlon and cycling, having competed across the globe in major events.
They have been coaching in Morzine since 2012 and have established Buzz Cycling and Triathlon which is aimed at providing you “with a truly enjoyable mountain holiday filled with adventure or relaxation or a little bit of both.”
Joe and Amelia also run Buzz Performance who offer personalised training programs, specialist coaching and technical analysis.
Joe and Amelia have experienced many training locations but their thoughts always returned to Morzine. The facilities are first class and the town, which understands the needs of visitors, offers you a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
British Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist Jodie Stimpson, Olympic Silver Medallist Lisa Norden, World Champion Emma Moffat and other world class triathletes have all based themselves in Morzine during the summer months with the help of Buzz Cycling and Triathlon.

The facilities and training areas available are of a very high standard and the training possibilities are endless.
Swimming
Pool sessions: These are held at the Parc des Dérêches which has an Olympic size, outdoor pool (heated to 27°C) or in the 25m indoor pool at the same complex.
Open Water Swim sessions: You can use Lac Montriond which is a world class open water swimming venue or Lac Les Gets.
Your pool based sessions will aim to improve your swimming technique. Open Water sessions will aim to improve your race skills as well as transition from the swim to the bike stage.
Cycling
The roads are well maintained and the drivers are cycling friendly, which has enhanced this region’s reputation for cycling. Cycling routes are plentiful and the terrain offers variety for your specific training. You can focus on the famous Cols or stay in the rolling countryside for speed work. Whatever the route, Buzz Cycling and Triathlon will be able to advise the best cafés for you to enjoy your cappuccino rides.
The cycling sessions offer a balance between building your fitness, improving your bike handling skills and giving you the opportunity to enjoy the Alps scenery. You will also learn about gear selection & cadence and its effects on pacing and tactics.
The local Cols have been made famous by the Tour De France. These iconic Cols include Col de Joux Plane, Col de la Ramaz, Col de la Colombiere, Col du Corbier, Col du Feu and many more.
Mountain Biking Morzine
Morzine is in the Portes du Soleil region which is at the top of every mountain biker’s bucket list. The region offers you 650km of marked trails, 10 permanent downhill trails and 4 bike parks.
There are 24 ski lifts available for mountain bikers.
The Morzine & Les Gets’ lifts operate from mid-June till mid-September
The Portes Du Soleil network opens from the end of June until the last weekend in August.
Running
Like the cycling routes, your running routes can vary considerably.
Flatter routes are those along the the River Dranse or around Lac Montriond, whilst you can also enjoy the undulating routes in the Valley De la Manche and the Lindarets Bowl. If you would like to experience running at 1,500metres, there is a route between Mont Chery – Mont Caly.
Running sessions will cover speed, fitness, strength as well as technique.
Transitions: You will have the opportunity to work with the coaches to improve your transition skills; time getting out of your wetsuit, how to mount and dismount your bike in a calm, unflustered manner.
Mountain Rehab: Buzz Cycling and Triathlon include strength & conditioning, yoga, stretching and recovery sessions which are held at the Mountain Rehab Studio. There are also treatment rooms for massage and physiotherapy.
The coaching team will discuss ways to stay injury free and help you plan your training around your lifestyle commitments.
