Summary Liz ran the marathon for Team GB at the Athens and Beijing Olympic games and won a Commonwealth Games medal. She was the first British finisher in the Athens Olympic marathon lead the Beijing Olympic Marathon before being tripped, falling and breaking her ribs. Despite this injury Liz still ran 2 hours 33 minutes. Liz is a qualified coach to runners of all abilities and an ambassador for Lucozade Sport and Adidas. Liz is the author of "the Woman's Guide to Running" and a regular contributor to health, fitness and running magazines. She also speaks and schools, corporate events and shows. Coaching Liz is a world class marathoner but also a highly respected female coach. She has helped first time 5k finishers and experienced marathoners achieve more than they'd previously thought possible. Her approachable, friendly, non-judgemental style and her understanding of the needs of women runners make her the ideal coach for you. "My approach to coaching is to really understand the personal I'm supporting". I work closely with them to develop a plan that works for their personal situation and contexts and specifically meets their goals. Together we will develop a training routine that is appropriate, progressive and motivating. I enjoy speaking to the runners I coach regularly and sharing their journey".

Summary Athlete So far Sam has completed 16 marathons (best time 3 hours 22 minutes), the Himalayan 100 Mile Race and numerous other events, including a dozen triathlons. She remains a competitive runner and enjoys regular runs with the Rye Runners group Journalism A regular contributor to The Guardian, Sam also writes articles for Runner's World, The Financial Times, Healthy magazine and Health & Fitness as well as the on-line newspaper The Huffington Post. Sam has also appeared on BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 4 and Radio London, talking about fitness topics of the day. Sam has hosted her own workshops which range from 1 or 2 day practical running sessions to presenting to an audience at the Science Museum, The Running Show and the London Marathon's 'Meet the Experts' Weekend. Author Sam has written 8 books to date which include; Coaching As a qualified coach and active athlete, Sam is ideally placed to evaluate fitness and training ideas and trends. This instils confidence in the athletes she works with. Sam is also a tutor for England Athletics.
