Summary

Introduction

Run the Wild was founded in 2013 by Simon James and is one of the leading holiday running companies offering you the opportunity to run and explore some of the most spectacular trails in the UK and Europe.

You will run usually in groups of about 5 like minded people of similar ability, all led by a professional team of experienced and qualified runners on planned routes with full back up support.

Run the Wild like to emphasise the social side of running. Typically you will all meet for dinner and enjoy a few beers whilst reflecting on the day and discuss what comes next. You'll also have the opportunity to share stories and have a bit of fun.

The forming of lasting friendships are an important part of Run the Wild philosophy and they believe this sets them apart from the world of racing.

"Exploring places... not running races."

Overview

Your running adventure

Run the Wild aim for you to enjoy your running whilst exploring the scenic regions of the UK and Europe. No matter your level of experience, Run the Wild cater for everyone whether you are a newcomer to the sport or someone who has run many miles.

Each group is led by an experienced lead runner so you don’t have to worry about the route, which is planned either point to point or a loop of mountain massifs, increasing your views and running holiday experience. Run the Wild offer a professional level of back up support, allowing you to run and enjoy yourself and your surroundings. Each trip is organised with safety in mind.

Each group is made up with like-minded people of similar ability allowing you to work as a team, supporting each other to achieve your goals. The teams are small, usually about 5 runners so you may find several groups of varying speed on the same adventure.

Wild the Run grade each trip to help establish who runs in which group. This is done by looking at the difficulty of terrain and the speed & experience on trails. You will be expected to demonstrate your previous experience in order to establish your eligibility.

See the grading below

Comments:  RuntheWildUK absolutely knocked it out of the park in setting up and supporting our guided 6 day UTMB run. We were able to simply worry about our packs and the days run while everything else was taken care of. All expectations were met if not exceeded. Lastly, we cannot say enough for how amazing our guide Emily was throughout the trip. We had an amazing holiday and left with new found friends we hope to adventure with in the future!
