Arrival by air: Gravelines has the luck to be located in the heart of Europe's major international airports, in Northern Europe. The airports of Paris, London or Brussels are located within 2:30 hours from Gravelines.

Arrival by train: TGV train station of Dunkerque and Calais Frethun are both located 20 minutes from Gravelines.

Gravelines- Paris : 281 km -> 2h30
Gravelines-London (Via Tunnel) : 155km -> 2h30
Gravelines-Brussels: 172 km -> 1h50
Gravelines -Amsterdam: 364 km -> 3h30

Accommodation is usually based at the Sportica Centre, home of the professional Basketball Club Maritime, Gravelines team. The residence is approximately a 5 minute drive from the boating area or a 15 minute cycle ride. 

Bedrooms can be single or sharing up to 5 people per room. Meals are served buffet style at the canteen and the menu has been developed specifically for athletes. Packed lunches can also be arranged in addtion to or as an alternative to lunch time meals.

The Sportica Residence offers a calm and relaxing environment and also offers medical staff, fitness centre, sauna, swimming pool, bowls and other activites.

Alternative 2* or 3* hotel accommodation can be arranged if required all being with 10 minute drive of the boating area.  


Places of Interest


Gravelines offers a blend of feelings and colors. From historic sites to natural resources, its heritage can be discovered all through the walled town and in its maritime history.

Gravelines has also a strong sport culture, specially through its basket ball team called BCM.

Training Facilities



A purpose built International rowing course, 2km long and 10 lanes wide. Total length of the lake is just over 2,200 metres.

Launches are available for hire but their use is restricted. Coaching is from the cycle path that runs around the course. 

Rowing boats can be hired from the Gravelines Rowing Club, adjacent to the course.  



The lake offers Open Water Swimming and is located within 175 ha of the PAarc land. The PAarc has 15km of cycling and running track suitable for triathlon training and competition. 



There are about 6 ergos and several Wattbikes at the course.

For weight training and further ergos etc, sessions will conducted at the adjacent Gravelnes Rowing Club. Sessions can be arranged at time of booking.
