Summary

Introduction

ABTOT protected, Forever Cycle Tours offers both vehicle supported cycling tours and self guided, fixed based, cycling holidays. They are still an owner run business aiming to give you exceptional personal attention.

The supported scheduled Cycle Tours visit Corsica, the Pyrenees and in the French and Italian Alps whilst the self guided, fixed based breaks are based at the companies Morzine chalet.

The self guided cycling holidays will always include at least one Forever Cycle Tours staff member who will help you organise your routes and day's ride. There are over 20 pre-prepared rides all mapped out from and returning to Morzine. Each map will show where you can stop for coffee or lunch. You can make up your own route using the Forever Cycle Tours route planning map and help will be on hand to help you do this.

Their base in Morzine is only a few kilometres away from such climbs as the Col de Joux Plane, Route d'Avoriaz, Col d'Encrenaz and Colde la Joux Verte.

If you'd like to tackle the climbs a bit further away, such as Col de Saisies, Col des Aravis, Col de la Croix Fry, and Col de la Colombiere, a vehicle would take you to a suitable starting point for a nominal charge.

Forever Cycle Tours offer an emergency rescue service if you are unable to get yourself back to the chalet.

Bike Hire

Forever Cycle Tours normally have a selection of Road and Mountain bikes for hire. You need to take your own pedals and if you prefer, your saddle. All bikes have two water bottle cages, pump and a small seat bag containing an inner tube and puncture repair kit.

All bike hire should be arranged well in advance of your departure.

To see Forever Cycle Tours' current range of bikes, view their website by using the "Visit Website" button adjacent to their logo.

Coaching

The Team & Support

Paul; he is the one that runs all cycling matters including advise on the many routes he has created and passing on his knowledge of the mountains and local culture.

Adam; he has a wide range of skills from bike mechanic to guest support rider and loves to share his expertise of the local roads.

Dani; a keen road cyclist who has extensive local route knowledge and has cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats and run the London marathon.

Forever Morzine Tours recognise the potential problems out on the road so they will work on a guest:support staff ration of 4:1 or better. Support vehicles are always on hand during tours, loaded with rehydration fluids, energy products, fresh fruit and bike spare parts.

Private & Corporate Tours

Private & Corporate Tours

Comments:  The whole tour was great - super-organised but in a very relaxed and friendly way, so all we had to do was ride the bike. Good comfortable accommodation, in convenient locations, great quality food, without either being over-the- top (it is a bike ride after all). On the road there were 14 riders with 3 staff - in 2 minibuses and usually one cycling on the road somewhere, so loads of support through the day. But in a good relaxed way - the speed merchants can fly off the front and the rest of us can labour up the climbs at a manageable pace, because it all regroups at the top for a break anyway. We didn't have any injuries or issues, but I'd feel confident there isn't much that can go wrong they couldn't handle.

Comments:  If you are considering attempting the famous and iconic climbs in the Alps and Provence then Forever Morzine is the way to go! Paul's vast experience and knowledge of the area has enabled him to put together an amazing itinerary. The route selection, hotel selection and most importantly the outstanding support both on and off the road make this an incredible week. everything about the week was superbly coordinated and supported leaving the riders to concentrate on the climbing! If you are considering this then look no further!! Thank you Paul - I will return

Comments:  I would have no hesitation in recommending this company! They were a fantastic team, and the set up and organisation both in advance and during the trip was flawless. There was always plenty of detail and explanation which is invaluable when you haven't done something like this and are out of your comfort zone. The team were totally supportive at all times and were always happy to accommodate the needs of the group

Comments:  My friend and I booked the Marmotte Tour September 2016. We were picked up from the airport and taken to Morzine to meet the rest of the group, the guides and organiser. We were briefed on what lay ahead of us so knew what to expect and how things wee run. The actual rides were very well supported with 2 vehicles leap frogging us throughout the rides. Food, water and encouragement was never more than 2 miles away. Overall an amazing holiday.

Comments:   What a great holiday. Paul and his team were fantastic from start to finish, managing to support a group with disparate abilities and experience. Forever Morzine feels like more than just a "travel company" as the team's own enthusiasm for the riding was equal to that of the guests, which added to the overall experience. The accommodation was brilliantly chosen by Paul and the attention to detail throughout couldn't be faulted. Highly recommended.

Comments:  Was here for 4 nights and can't rate the place highly enough. The hosts Simon and Susie are fantastic and that filters the whole way down through all the staff. It's situated in a great location, two minute walk to the town centre and right across the road from a bus stop if you don't feel like walking to the piste (still only a short walk). Really relaxed atmosphere, the place is spotless and the food is fantastic. I've been to Morzine a few times and this is easily the best place I have stayed. Will definitely be back.

Comments:  At time of writing Chalet Eira is rated 9th in its category in Morzine. All I can say is the other places must be truly amazing. And, although I've not checked, I bet you're paying an awful lot more in the others with slightly higher ratings. I just got back from a trip where we stayed as a mixed group. From the time I made the booking to the time we left, I can't think of anything I would want to change. Simon, Susie, their family and staff, ably assisted by Emma on ski hire and assorted duties, the superb kitchen staff, the guys behind the bar, I can't say enough good things about them. They were all so friendly and helpful throughout our stay; Simon is so laid back he's virtually horizontal, Susie friendly, efficient, great sense of humour, the young folks a total credit to the place, and a couple of half decent pool players amongst them (Don't worry Lou and Lewis, you can try to get your revenge next year....!), Emma supplying the French chic. One of the things that you really notice talking to the other guests, is how many of them are on their fourth, fifth, sixth visit - in fact quite a few people seemed surprised to find a group staying for their first time. Nothing speaks more highly of an establishment than repeat business, and we'll definitely be going back. Guys, thanks for a perfect stay and see you next year.

Comments:  A group of 25 of us arrived for a 3 night cycling holiday in July 2016. Simon and his team couldn't have been more helpful. The location of Chalet Eira was great (probably due to the fact that he picked the land and built the chalet himself 16 years ago!), the rooms were great (really comfy beds) and the food was excellent. I actually think I might have come home heavier than when I arrived. Many thanks Simon, I will defiantly be back for skiing with friends and family.
