Introduction

 

Full Potential has been offering personal training options for athletes of all ages, abilities and aims since 2005, when it was co-founded by Keith and Debbie Anderson.

RUN CLUB: This is a free training resource that gives you helpful articles on all aspects of running and training. Topics covered include training advice, nutrition, training equipment and how to stay injury free etc.

PRIVATE COACHING: This option is available for any runner or triathlete of any standard no matter what distance you're racing. You have the choice of two types of packages; Classic which is aimed at runners who are seeking economic, remote and expert coaching at an affordable price and Premium which is aimed at runners seeking the ultimate in running coaching with regular interaction and flexibility.

These packages are designed and tailor made for you taking into account your ability, time availability and seasonal goals.

ONE to ONE COACHING: These sessions are offered for runners and triathletes in London and for runners in Reading and Oxford. You can have 1:2:1 coaching in running as well as Strength and Conditioning.

NUTRITIONAL REVIEW: This review will help your training sessions become more productive and maximise your race performance.

UK EVENTS & WORKSHOPS: Full Potential run workshop days throughout the year covering many topics from running technique, training, race specific and nutrition. For current workshop dates see Training Camps & Workshops.  

MARATHON RACES: Full Potential offer packages to the big marathons around the world. Usually, personal coaching support (including your own bespoke training program) is available from the moment you sign up right up until race time along with a free place at one of their many UK running workshops.


Lactate Threshold with Full Potential

 

PHYSIOLOGICAL TESTING: This testing is done with Full Potential partners at the Pure Sports Medicine Centre, Canary Wharf London or Sports Science Consultancy Unit (SSCU) at Winchester University. Following these tests, Full Potential can then build your program based on optimal heart rate training zones.

Training Facilities

Algarve

 

The running training camps are based at the Alfamar Beach and Sport Resort which has its own training facilities including a 6 lane tartan 400m running track with a 6 lane 175m straight, along with hurdles and starting blocks. Field sports are also catered for with 1 High Jump sector, 1 Pole Vault sector, 2 Long / Triple Jump sectors and throwing areas.

There is also a Cross Country course as used in the European Cross Country Championships 2010.


Coaching

Keith Anderson

 

Keith, a co-founder of Full Potential, began his running career as a means to lose some weight but at the age of 41 he finished 10th in the Malaysia Commonwealth Games Marathon 1998. Keith became British Fell Running champion before he took to the marathon and soon found himself competing across Europe and the USA against the World's top athletes.

Keith has worked with many runners of all abilities, from beginner to International standard and is a regular writer for Runner’s World, Running Fitness, Peak Performance as well as a number of running books and websites. Keith has considerable experience delivering training camps, races and running events.


Richard Coates

 

Richard’s running career helped him balance working in a stressful environment and bringing up a young family. His objective is to always ensure that all his clients receive the best athlete centred coaching possible. He has successfully coached many athletes of all levels to achieve their potential.


Ben Barwick

 

Ben is a Director of Full Potential and a running coach. He began his career with the company providing bio-mechanical advice and running coaching support. Within two years he began leading training sessions, writing plans, communicating with runners about their training and helping them develop to become better athletes. 


Debbie Anderson

 

Debbie began her running career when she entered a 10km charity run in Richmond. Having discovered the bug from this event, Debbie immediately leapt in to her next event, The Great North Run, which was followed by her first marathon.

Debbie gave up her PA career in 2005 to become a co-founder of Full Potential. She is a UKA Level 1 Running Coach.


Robin Turner

 

Robin started as a swimmer and then progressed to triathlon. Within a short space of time he'd qualified for successive Triathlon World Championships, 2003 in New Zealand and 2004 in Madeira. During this time Robin fell in love with orienteering, mountain marathons and adventure races.

This new type of event took him to Chamonix, France where he carried on training and began working for an adventure company throughout the Alps and the Dolomites. In 2008 Robin moved back to the UK and started work as a personal trainer alongside a medical team in a central London rehab clinic. His next step was into coaching triathletes, runners, climbers and skiers.

I won one of the charity prizes yesterday and would like to donate it to the cardiac ward at Evelina London, Guys and St Thomas' hospital where I am ward Sister.
