Stuart Hall Cycling has been running cycling training camps in Mallorca for 30 years. Today in excess of 1,000 cyclists join Stuart and his team each year for these popular cycling holidays, which run between January and May and then return for the Autumn season, September and October.

The camps offer complete flexibility, with cyclists able to chose how long they stay and the dates and times they arrive and leave. Some stay for three days, others for three weeks!

Cyclists taking part in the Spring and October camps (which are Stuart Hall Cycling's most popular) are typically picked up at Palma airport by a private transfer vehicle and taken to a choice of two luxury spa hotels in the pretty harbour town of Puerto Pollensa, north Mallorca. Breakfast and dinner are provided each day, as well as a hire bike if required. The idea is that the cyclists don't need to worry about anything other than riding their bike and having fun.

Each day a variety of guided rides are offered (with more choice of rides during the busiest periods), to cater to all from the keen beginner to the seasoned pro. Experienced ride leaders adjust the distances and destinations to suit weather conditions and cycling levels in the group. Cyclists can pick and chose, riding really hard one day and following it with an easier, more restful day if desired. The ride leaders, many of whom have been cycling in Mallorca for decades, know all the best routes on this stunning island.

The ride leaders focus on maximising the cycling experience and knowledge acquired, and there is also a strong focus on having fun both on and off the bike. A trip to a local bar in the evenings is not uncommon!

During the summer months, Stuart Hall Cycling offers packages to sportives around Europe.  Typically these would include La Marmotte, Trophee de l'Oisans, Ventoux Challenge, Lands End to John O’Groats and tours to the Pyrenees and the Tour de France. Stuart Hall himself has ridden La Marmotte 17 times since his first time in 1988.

Stuart Hall, founder of Stuart Hall Cycling, says,“The simplicity and friendly atmosphere are why our customers come back time and time again. Once you arrive, the only things you will need to do are ride your bike and socialise. We do the rest. And we love getting to know people. One of the things that makes our trips so special is that there are lots of familiar faces, along with many other new ones each year.”

Customer satisfaction is very high, with nine out of ten Stuart Hall Cycling customers booking a return trip. The camps and tours have encouraged and developed riders of all ages. Some of the riders who have spent time on Stuart Hall Cycling camps include Luke Rowe (Sky), Andrew Roche (Motorpoint), James Lewis (NFTO), James McLaughlin (Madison Genesis), Dexter Gardias (ONE Pro Cycling) and Dan Pearson (Champion Systems). Prices are also very affordable, as Stuart Hall Cycling likes to make sure the camps are available to everyone.

Many of the Ride Leaders have been with Stuart for several years and some even started their career as professional Leaders with the company. Some of the regular Leaders have seen success on the road as professional or top amateur racers with teams both in the UK and abroad, winning events like UK National Championship, BTA Grand Prix Series, British Masters Road titles and World Championship Scratch Races.

Comments:  I went on my own and was a bit apprehensive. But it was absolutely fabulous. Well organised rides every day of differing abilities, a fabulous hotel and the guides and Stuart and his wife are so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it. People go back year after year and next year I will be one of those people returning!

Comments:  I was in Mallorca 11-18th March and had a fantastic time. Well organised right from booking until I went home and very quick to reply to any queries I had. Hotel was lovely with good food and comfy beds, hire bikes were very good and the ride choice catered for all. Really great value for money, thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly cycling holiday!

Comments:  Second visit, and as last year we found Mallorca a great place for cyclists. The hotel used by Stuart Hall is very cyclist friendly, with good sized rooms and an excellent choice of food for all tastes. Airport transfers were trouble free and efficient. As a large group we chose to find our own way around this year rather than go on the organised rides; also choosing other Bike Hire opportunities.

Comments:  I was in Mallorca last week(18th to 25th March) for my first training camp and just wanted to say that all the guys that are working out there for Stuart were brilliant. I also had a question before going and Jenny replied to my email within 24 hours answering my question witch was great. I’d highly recommend anyone wanting to go cycling over there to join the Stuart Hall team and I’ll be back again next year. Also the hotel was fantastic and the food was even better. The Airport transfer was perfect both ways with someone standing at the airport waiting for me to arrive. I couldn’t fault my experience if I tried.

Comments:  The Mallorca 312 sportive was an unforgettable experience. Stuart arranged an early morning breakfast for the 312 riders followed by a transfer right to the start line. This meant we didn’t need to hang about on a chilly morning and the event got off to the perfect start. And what an event! Well-marshalled, great organisation and loads of cheering support along the way. The well-stocked food stops meant I arrived back with the energy bars I set out with still in my pockets and the standard of riding was perhaps the best I have experienced in any sportive. Riding through a world heritage centre on silky-smooth closed roads in cycling paradise. What’s not to like? Well, admittedly there’s the monstrous distance – 194 miles and more than 5,000 metres of climbing – but thankfully latching onto a well-organised group helped get me over the line in a decent time and I didn’t have to make use of the out-of-hours hotel buffet Stuart had arranged for us in case of a late finish. Instead there was time for a short jaunt to the famous cyclist’s haunt Tolos, where the Garmin ticked over 200 miles and the draft Estrella provided the perfect recovery aid!

Comments:  Just a quick note to say that we had a brilliant week with Stuart in Mallorca and really enjoyed the cycling. Please pass on our thanks to him and the team for making it such a positive experience. We will definitely be back! Can I also say how happy we were with the upgrade to the Mar Senses hotel – what a lovely place! We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Thanks very much!

Comments:  You get what you pay for and this is nothing but fantastic value for money. I have just returned from a 10 day cycling training camp with nothing but good reports to write about Stuart, his team and the hotel. Let’s get the negative out of the way first. Hotel Pollensa Park is a little bit dated but the rooms are clean, tidy with fresh towels every day. I stayed on the 6th floor had a lovely view of the bay. Nice TV in the room but I would have liked a kettle. Breakfast you could eat as much as you like. Fresh fruit, cereals, cooked English and croissants and cakes. Various breads were also available. Evening meal was always a wide choice of meats, fish, salads, pasta. Again you could eat as much as you like. Help yourself to soft drinks, beer or wine. The cycling was well organised with 4 varied groups. The fast group was led by a young Welsh lad who some days would be doing 200Km with some top class athletes in the group. I don’t want to name them here but some days included an Olympic Gold Medal Winner, Tour de France and Tour of Spain rider. The fourth group was led by a Irish Man who did around 70 miles at a slow pace. Groups 2 & 3 led by Stuart and other staff is where I found my level and completed over 1200Km during my stay. I saw some beautiful parts of the island and some wonderful cafe and cake stops. Overall a rate value for money holiday
