With the breathtaking coastal tracks, woodland trail runs, athletics track, boardwalks, gorgeous flat beaches and challenging hills you will get all the knowledge and experience you need whilst having a great holiday with fellow runners or triathletes.

CYCLING – For quality training the Algarve has to be right up there in terms of destinations. There is no ‘easy way’ in the Algarve! Blessed with great quality roads, you will be challenged with undulations, hills, time-trial sections and stunning scenery. The Monchique Mountains and surrounding coastal routes have been home to the Famous Tour of the Algarve for many years.

Starting with short distances Embrace introduce even the most inexperienced swimmers to open water swimming and make sure everyone is supported and suitably challenged. With additional lake and indoor swimming facilities all options are covered.

FRANCE, (Pyrenees)

RUNNING – For triathlon trips they use stunning lake runs for endurance sessions, short loops for brick runs and flat trails for tempo sessions. The running trip here focuses on hills in preparation for the famous Alpe D’Huez mountain run at the end of the week. As a new addition to the Embrace calendar in 2017 this is proving to be a tough yet extremely rewarding experience!

CYCLING - Based in the French Alps, this trip offers the opportunity to ride many of the great Tour de France routes/climbs, including the famous Alpe d'Huez, Col de la Grand Columbier, Le Mont du Chat, Le Mont Revard and Col de Aravis. Wherever you go, you can be sure of stunning scenery and fabulous views to reward you after a hard climb.

SWIMMING – As with the Pyrenees, in addition to the local swimming pools, Embrace use open water swimming options at stunning local lakes as much as possible. Clean, clear and shallow lakes are great for all ability levels.

Comments:  As a regular Embrace holiday maker, I'm always interested in what the team will come up with next. They delivered a real winner with this break in the French Alps. The week's shedule - with 2 significant climbs before the Alpe D'Huez challenge looked tough. And it was - but eminently doable. And those tarmac based runs fully prepared me for an amazing run. My confidence in my running abilities has gained a boost. I met and remet a bunch of lovely people. And the accommmodation and views were stunning

Comments:  I had a fantastic holiday in the Pyrenees. The sun shone all week long and the views from the rustic farmhouse were stunning! We ran in a variety of beautiful locations, including a long run on a woodland trail, 1k reps in a park, a steady 10k lake run surrounded by snow-capped mountains, finishing with the 12k Col D’Aspin uphill road run. There was a complete mix of abilities and experience, but the coaches tailored each run to suit everyone and there was great camaraderie within the group.

Comments:  This box is far too small for me to go into too much detail, however suffice to say that the inaugural duathlon camp should definitely become part of the regular Embrace camp schedule. Top class training, delicious food, breathtaking scenery and amazing company...
