Swimming Coaches

  • Adam Walker is currently one of the top open water swimmers in the world. He has a degree educated in Sports Science and is a ASA level 2 qualified swimming teacher with over 17 years experience of teaching all levels of abilities from beginners to channel swimmers.
  • Alan is a Global Sports Consultant focused on improving sporting performance.
  • Andy has been awarded the British Triathlon Federation Coach of the Year (2012) and the 220 Triathlon Coach of the Year (2006 and 2007). He has coaching experience across all age ranges and a full range of abilities. Andy set up Endurance Sports Coaching in 2004.
  • Dan is a keen Swimmer and Triathlete who has helped thousands get fit and fast for adventures from their first novice TRI to the Channel Swim. Dan's accolades include being National Masters Champion (2008/09), a British AG Record Holder (800m), European Masters Medallist and a Double-Ironman finisher. 220 magazine Triathlon Coach of the Year 2005/6  
  • Daren, founder and Head Coach of TriSports Lanzarote, is a 4x IronMan finisher in 1 year,  2x IM 70.3 world finals and 13x IM 70.3 finisher. Daren is a qualified British Triathlon Federation Coach and a quailfied Open Water Swim Coach. 
  • Dirk is a High Performance coach and holds a DSV Coaching-A-Licence. He has been Head Coach of the German National Training Centre, National Coaching Director & Head Coach, South Africa and DSV National Coach.  
  • Dr Julie Bradshaw MBE currently holds 20 World Records in Long Distance, English Channel and Marathon swimming. Julie has been coaching for over 36 years and has a Master’s Degree in Sports Science. She is a qualified Physical Education teacher and an ASA Advanced Swimming Teacher and Coach. Julie holds a specialist Open Water Level 2 STA certificate, a RYA Powerboat Level 2 Certificate and a current First Aid at Work certificate with part of her Team being qualified Triathlon Coaches. Julie has worked as Head Swim Coach both in Canada and in Leicestershire.
  • Edward Sinclair swam for Team GB at the 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Olympic Games. He also raced and won medals at World and European Championships and he held the British record of 1.45.81 for the 200 Freestyle.
  • Fiona is a qualified Swim Smooth swimming coach and a Level 3 British Federation Triathlon Coach. Fiona works with triathletes of all abilities from Sprint and Olympic distance through to Ironman.
  • Gareth started running at age 11 and after an injury moved to cycle racing at 16. He has raced throughout Europe, Australia and the USA on the road, the velodrome and in mountain bike events. He has represented his country in duathlon and triathlon at age group level. Gareth is an expert cycling coach, bike set up guru, a Level 2 Triathlon Coach and a qualified first-aider.
  • Glen competed for Sweden in the 1980 Moscow Summer Olympics in the 200mts breaststroke event.He has coached swimmers to National and International success, coaching at multiple Olympic Games. He has extensive experience working away from Sweden. Glen continues to swim competitively at Masters level, having broken more than 50 World Masters records and won 15 World champion titles.
  • John has been involved with swimming for over 20 years and triathlon for over 5 years. He has competed Nationally and Internationally in both events. As a coach, his athletes have qualified and competed at all levels from World Championships to novice, beginners triathlons. In 2014, swimmer Siobhan-Marie O'Connor won Gold at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 200m individual medley in a new British & Commonwealth record.  
  • Karen Parnell British Triathlon Federation coach, BTF Tutor/Coach Educator, Certified IRONMAN Coach, Personal Trainer, UK Athletics Run Coach and is Sports Psychology & Sports Nutrition qualified. She is also a Sports Massage Therapist and a Kinesiology Tape Practitioner.
  • Kypros has an MA in Exercise Physiology, a BSc in Sports and Fitness Management, is an accredited Strength & Conditioning coach and holds a level 2 ITU coaching qualification and an American College of Sports Medicine, Health and Fitness Instructor Certification.
  • Lee Stanbury is a highly experienced Swimming Coach with a successful swimming coaching career spanning 30 years. Lee is a former swimmer and world bi Athlon competitor    
  • Mark is a founder member of the British Triathlon Association. Over a 30 year period, he has completed over 400 triathlons, 74 Marathons, 36 IronMan, 2 Double IronMan and 1 Triple IronMan. He holds motivational talks and has found time to write "The Complete Book of Triathlon Training".
  • Mark, co-founder of N+1 Endurance, was a GB International swimmer for 12 years competing in the European and World championships.  He was the British record holder and Britain’s number one for the 200m and 400m individual medley events and reached a Top 10 world ranking.
  • Martin has been coaching for over 25 years and is a Trisutto Certified Coach, a British Triathlon Federation Level 3 Coach and designed the Palm Paddle to help triathletes and swimmers develop their stroke.
  • Matt has been coaching for over 10 years; he is an ASA coach, an IRONMAN Certified Coach and is currently working with the Brett Sutton to become a Trisutto Certified Coach.
