Lanzarote Places of Interest

As cyclists and triathlon plan their training camps in Lanzarote WhichTrainingCamp.com have put together some Places of Interest that might be useful during those rest periods or days.

Lanzarote is the 4th largest of the Canary Islands, approximately 750 kms south of Gibraltar. It is formed by over 100 volcanoes which, following their eruptions in the early 1700s, gave the island the newest landscape on Earth. However, it is believed to have been the first Canary Island to be inhabited, possibly by the Phoenicians, although there is no material evidence.
