Summary

Lars started his professional riding career in 2002 with Team Fakta. In 2004 he moved to BankGiroLoterij and recorded his first professional win. When BankGiroLoterij stopped racing at the end of 2004, Lars moved to Team CSC.

He became Danish Road Racing Champion whilst at Team CSC and won the U25 Tour de d'Avenir. He made his debut in the Tour de France in 2011 for Team HTC-Columbia, working hard in the Mark Cavendish sprint train. Along the way he was the Danish Time Trial Champion in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and also won Time Trial stages in the Vuelta a España (2006 & 2010), in the Giro d'Italia (2011) as well as winning a further stage in the Giro d'Italia (2012).

In 2012 Lars moved to Lotto-Belisol and won the Grand Prix de Fourmies the same year.
