Michael Krell


Michael began life as a ski jumper before playing football and Lacrosse in the German Bundesliga. His first triathlon was a event in his home town of Bamberg, after which he was hooked on the sport. Within his first year of triathlon, Michael had completed his first Challenge Roth and within a few years had qualified for his first Hawaii Ironman. 

It was during this period, Mchael developed a love for writing about his new sport. He wrote many articles for  www.tri-mag.de and www.triathlon.de and in magazines (German “Triathlon Magazin”,“Loox Sportmagazin”, etc.). 

He soon published his first book which has been followed by several more including;
“Triathlon für Berufstätige” - Triathlon for people with a steady job
"Triathlon-Trainingseinheiten für Berufstätige" - Triathlon training sessions for people in employment
“Wettkampfstrategien im Triathlon” - Competition strategies in triathlon

Michael continues to compete with an aim of achieving a PB of 8:30hrs for an Ironman. 

Michael studied European Economics at the University of Bamberg, Germany, completed an MBA in New Zealand
