Summary

Mark is a founder member of the British Triathlon Association. Over a 30 year period, he has completed over 400 triathlons, 74 Marathons, 36 IronMan, 2 Double IronMan and 1 Triple IronMan. He holds motivational talks and has found time to write "The Complete Book of Triathlon Training"

Mark's favourite moment; being inside the Olympic Stadium watching Mo Farah win 5,000 metre gold. "The atmosphere was electric, when Mo won, having already won the 10,000 metres, I found it very emotional and goose pimply".

He has recently been helping Sophie Roberts and completed his 36th IronMan in Lake Tahoe where more than 1,000 starters did not finish, making it one of the toughest IronMan.

Coaching

Mark runs his triathlon camps at Ingrandes, France hosted by Tri-Topia.

Away from the camp he is also available for one on one sessions, offering Triathletes of all standards their own training programs, feedback and explanations behind each session. Regular contact between Mark and the athlete is key, by phone or Skype (which is useful when Mark is away himself competing).

Mark begins with understanding the athlete's current lifestyle and structures a time efficient program. He will also help educate on the latest Nutrition thinking and work on Motivation; as Mark says, "It's going to take a while to change your body. It only takes a split second to change your mind".

Although Mark is a very accomplished Triathlon coach, his knowledge in all three disciplines allows him to a talk in great depth for any one sport.

Mark also offers Open Water swimming lessons and can be contacted for details

I attended the TriTraining Harder training camps a couple of times some years ago, and since then I have used their training plans to work my way through the different distances of triathlon and completed the full distance for the first time this weekend in Tallin. As a newcomer to triathlon the camps provided the perfect introduction to triathlon and have set me up me with all of the fundamental elements that I have applied to my training over the past four years. The online plans you have prepared have also been excellent, they are easy to follow and have got me to the start (and finish) line in the best shape I have ever been in and enabled me to exceed my own expectations. I feel very fortunate that when I started this journey that I choose the Tri Training Harder training camps and plans. Now it is time for a short break after which I will be looking at races for next year and will be looking at using the personalized coaching that they offer

Where do I start? My trip to Rioja in Oct 2019 is reaping rewards with my running. Prior to this hol I was only able to run 5km without stopping. During the holiday I managed up to 9 miles with only rehydration stops!! It was fab. I was the sole singleton but everybody was welcoming and made me feel part of the group.Abby and Chris were great hosts and coaches. Approachable and encouraging. So kind and patient and gently pushing to achieve potential. Scenery was amazing. Accommodation was lovely and comfortable.Abby's homemade cuisine was certainly a highlight too.The mix of runs and vineyard visits/ leisure time were a highlight. I lost a few pounds despite the food and freely flowing wine!It doesn't matter if you are a ???? or a ???? this trip is well worth it. Take the plunge and you will return refreshed and reinvigorated like me!

Just finished a six week swimming course with Karen, I can highly recommended her. She helped enormously with my swimming techniques or lack of I should say. I feel now that with all of the things that she has thought me I can put into place and improve as a swimmer. I have even discussed going back to do more classes to help with both my husbands swimming and my own Thank you
