Summary

Liz ran the marathon for Team GB at the Athens and Beijing Olympic games and won a Commonwealth Games medal.

She was the first British finisher in the Athens Olympic marathon lead the Beijing Olympic Marathon before being tripped, falling and breaking her ribs. Despite this injury Liz still ran 2 hours 33 minutes.

Liz is a qualified coach to runners of all abilities and an ambassador for Lucozade Sport and Adidas. Liz is the author of "the Woman's Guide to Running" and a regular contributor to health, fitness and running magazines. She also speaks and schools, corporate events and shows.

Coaching

Liz is a world class marathoner but also a highly respected female coach. She has helped first time 5k finishers and experienced marathoners achieve more than they'd previously thought possible.

Her approachable, friendly, non-judgemental style and her understanding of the needs of women runners make her the ideal coach for you.

I work closely with them to develop a plan that works for their personal situation and contexts and specifically meets their goals. Summary

Athlete

So far Sam has completed 16 marathons (best time 3 hours 22 minutes), the Himalayan 100 Mile Race and numerous other events, including a dozen triathlons. She remains a competitive runner and enjoys regular runs with the Rye Runners group

Journalism

A regular contributor to The Guardian, Sam also writes articles for Runner's World, The Financial Times, Healthy magazine and Health & Fitness as well as the on-line newspaper The Huffington Post

Sam has also appeared on BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 4 and Radio London, talking about fitness topics of the day. 

Sam has hosted her own workshops which range from 1 or 2 day practical running sessions to presenting to an audience at the Science Museum, The Running Show and the London Marathon's 'Meet the Experts' Weekend.

Full Potential

I first contacted Full Potential to book onto the March 2017 running camp. Prior to the camp I received a very detailed welcome pack including an agenda showing all of the sessions and classes etc. Any questions I asked were answered promptly. The camp, and the September camp which I also attended, were very well structured and organised. The coaches and physios shared their knowledge and experiences as well as offering lots of support and advice. In May last year, I was injured again and felt that I was going around in circles so I contacted Richard about coaching and he was happy to help. The distance coaching model works really well, the coaching plan is easy to understand and Richard answers any questions promptly. The structure of the plan and the variety of training runs have really helped me over the last 8 months. Whether it's for running camps or coaching I highly recommend Full Potential.

I have been with Full Potential now for about four years and I don’t think I could do without them anymore. The type of personal support and structure you get from signing up and having someone to help with your training is invaluable especially if like me you don’t have the time to joint a conventional running club. I went from being a 2:18 half marathon girl to now having run 4 marathons with their help. On top of that, a nicer bunch of people I’ve yet to meet:-)!!

I can't recommend FP highly enough. My relationship started with a wonderful spring training camp in the Algarve in 2017, when the expertise and support of their UK/GB physio got me back on track from injury. From then on, I've had the most rewarding personal coaching which got me to my first marathon seven months later - and my second only seven weeks after that (with FP in Florence)! The structure & discipline, the individual programme, the truly personal support, the training camps and race events - FP can't be bettered. I'm looking forward to continuing with FP and achieving even more running goals in 2018 and beyond.

I cannot recommend Full Potential enough! I have been training with them for a number of years now and I have always found them so helpful and supportive. I have run 3 marathons which I never thought possible and it is all down to the guidance and encouragement from Full Potential!!!
